Startling and Terrible News Couched in a Rainbow!

Just for yet another change o'pace to finish up the week, I took a look at the Hydroman story from Heroic Comics #19.  No, not the Spider-Man villain of the same name.  This guy was a hero whose powers seemed to be tied to the availability of water, rather than the ability to turn his own body to water itself.

And he apparently hung out with this guy:

Man, I think it's terrible and startling news that you hang out with a guy called Rainbow Boy.  Wow.  And for a guy called Rainbow Boy, he sure doesn't seem to know what colors constitute a rainbow.  He should be looking for something like this:

Yeah, I know... bonus, right?

and here's some Fun with Out of Context Dialogue! (tm!):

The Men of that town would rue the day they purchased vasectomies via a "Groupon" promotion...

Meanwhile, let's take a last look at Golden Age Blue Beetle #28:

Okay, first:  I swear to you, they never told us the name of the girl in that entire story.

Secondly, when someone looks at you that intently, you never make any blanket promises about doing what they want to do, ever.  That's just common sense.

Am I the only one thinking it would be hilarious if the kidnapper sent a soiled diaper?  Gasp!  That's Junior's!  We fed him creamed corn just last night!

Okay, that was wrong.  I know it was wrong.

See you Monday!  It may be a little later in the day, but it'll get there!

What if they sent a toe or a foot or something? That is probably the worst thing that a parent wanting their child back could have done.

Love these. Rainbow Boy looks super bland... He needs a color injection and then what a great icon he could be in gay comics!!
